Mariasol Pons Cruz graduated with a degree in Social Sciences and Politics from UEES in Guayaquil. Later, she graduated with a degree in International Studies from the University of Buckingham in England. She lived in Spain, where she obtained a Master’s degree in Foreign Trade from the Carlos III University of Madrid, and then in Bogotá, where she obtained a postgraduate degree in Management and Strategic Leadership from the University of the Andes. While Pons did not study literature, her passion for writing persisted since childhood. Inspired by her father’s uncle, Miguel Donoso Pareja, who encouraged her to pursue her writing aspirations, she embarked on her literary journey.
